about

originally available on the nohmad netlabel

~ earlier experiments in sample based hip hop brought with it for me
a fascination with mood and the subtlety involved in what enables a
piece of music to essentially become whole or complete - it can
sometimes be a sound that is almost unheard - this has always stuck
with me - and recently I have been developing these ideas with sound
recordings of environments I find interesting - trying to capture the
essence of said environments - then hint on certain paths to follow
all the while with splashes of cello - "ruins" is one piece in two
movements - there is an order of sorts to it as the sound recordings
document a journey that began in an old disused insane asylum in
beelitz germany - ending up in belfast my place of birth in the north
of ireland.

upon first listening to this put it on your headphones and go for a
walk - it does not have to be a quite place - loud and busy can be
interesting to - your environment has influence - sometimes weird
things happen - coincidences - write me stories if anything does.

enjoy ~
