" It's an atmosphere of dis-articulated phantasmagoria that can be found right from the very beginning of this new EP from Belfast native Bethaniens Dust.

'Precipitation' sits at the crossroads of mishandled sampling and neurotic jazz where the specter of Ol 'Dirty Bastard floats, back from the dead.

Obsessive as the darkest and most hallucinatory of the Twin Peaks
Soundtracks, or the instrumentation of the Third Eye Foundation circa 'You Guys Kill Me', 'Parimeter Pyrites' shifts this jazzy and imagined
dimension to echoes of the contemporary civil rights protests that lay still a little deeper in the abyss.

'Prologue' through its use of disturbing horsehair sheets and Africanized percussion evokes the recent surge of the 'Don't Shoot' and 'Whos Streets?' movements, especially the end-time climate of extreme fatality unfortunately still provacive today - between Political assassinations and Police brutality, the Irish Producer creates a leaded atmosphere, then returns searching for the exaltation of life and freedom, over a sampled afrobeat introduction.

So - freedom or death? Fabulously evocative. Does the Music of
Bethaniens Dust feed on one to conjure up the other? or to magnify it?
Maybe his next outing will tell us... "
